Liquids Day Two

Today was day two of my pre-op liquid diet. I did not have a low blood sugar episode today, thank you for the prayers! Praise God that I was able to work all day without feeling any hunger pains, probably because I made sure to have something every couple of hours. My food/liquid intake went almost like yesterday with one exception. My co workers decided to go to Braum's for a shake, I asked them to see if there was a sugar free shake they could make with skim milk, and there was a low carb option so they brought me back a small vanilla shake. When I took my first drink of the shake it tasted to good to be true but eventually I could taste an artificial sweetener in there so I drank the whole thing. Big mistake, it was about an hour later my stomach started gurgling and I really wanted to get to the restroom however there is only one in the branch I was working at & I really didn't want to go in there & embarrass myself so I held it till I got home and I have been sick ever since! Sorry I know probably too much information, lol. I won't be having any more shakes! I am finally able to eat a bowl of homemade organic chicken noodle soup my mom made - minus the crackers you see in the photo. I was told no crackers are to be added into the soup that I eat everyday. I have enough soup leftover for four more of my liquid meals. The next batch of soup we have will be some tortilla soup that they sell in a jar, you can get it at Central Market or HEB and it costs around $9 but it is soooo good! I will post a picture of it when I get over there to buy some. My friend had her surgery today & is doing great! Prayers work! I believe in them & so does she. I will continue to pray for no complications, no pain, and comfort as she re-cooperates. I want to use this blog to support anyone that is thinking about having a weight loss surgery. I want to make sure God receive's all the glory & praise for getting us through all of this. Please if there are any questions that you want to ask I will do my best to answer your questions. I believe I may be led to start a support group, I am still praying about it, meanwhile I will blog about my progress. Thanks friends! Kelly
